Calling all high school students!

Unlock the opportunity to lead and mentor middle school students in the exciting realm of robotics. Not only can you earn volunteer hours and prep for college applications, but you'll also take charge of inspiring robotics projects, gaining hands-on experience in robotics and coding, and refining your leadership skills. Join us in this dynamic journey where leadership meets innovation and walk away with meaningful peer and mentor relationships!

No prior coding or robotics experience needed. There will be ~9 hours of training included to get you up to speed.

Volunteer Training Details (Required)

🗓️ Dates: Saturdays: June 22, July 13, July 20 (however, if you cannot make it to one of those dates, please let us know)

⏱️ Time: 3-6p on June 22, and 1-4PM on July 13 and 20

What you will learn

During this 4-day Robotics Camp volunteer program, you will spend 12+ hours working with AYM mentors to help develop the Robotics Camp and lead the camp for middle schoolers. You will learn important professional skills including:

As a volunteer in our program, you will have the opportunity to take on diverse responsibilities. You can assist instructors by leading and teaching student groups, bring energy as an emcee, facilitate icebreakers and games to promote a welcoming atmosphere, and provide crucial support for the camp. As part of our AYM program, you'll collaborate closely with a team of AYM mentors and fellow high school volunteers. We encourage a spirit of teamwork, where you will actively engage in collaboration, receive constructive feedback, and demonstrate strong team player qualities.
